About the Artist
by the artist Sara Bevan
I was born in Walsall in 1967 and completed a Foundation course at Bourneville School of Art, Birmingham in 1986. I then went on to study at Liverpool Polytechnic gaining a BA (Hons) Degree in Fashion and Textiles, specialising in Printed Textiles.
I now live in Sennen near Lands End, working as a full time artist specialising in painting and printmaking.
I have been selling my work since 2004. At present I have 2 Galleries that sell my work The Blue Bramble Gallery, St Ives and Barnes Fine Art Gallery in Barnes near London. I also exhibit my work in The Gurnards Head Hotel, Zennor, The Old Coastguard Hotel, Mousehole and Bosworgy Bay B & B, Marazion.
Paintings range from large canvases to small works on board and paper in a variety of techniques and mediums including oils, acrylics and mixed media.
I also produce mono types using a printing press and plexiglass.
My work, inspired by the Lands End Peninsula is dramatic and atmospheric.
