Open Studios Cornwall – September 2020

Open Studio Cornwall September 2020

I will be welcoming socially-distanced visitors as part of Open Studios Cornwall, with appropriate safety measures in place from 29th August - 6th September 2020. Open 10am - 5pm most days. Closed all day Friday September 4th.

Visitors are asked to wear a face covering in line with current Government shop guidelines. Hand sanitiser will be provided at the entrance and there will be enough room to view my artwork at a safe distance.

I will only be able to accommodate one household group at a time, but there will be a bench outside for visitors to sit and wait if need be and admire the view out over the beautiful Sennen Cove.

More information about this event is also available at The Open Studio site: www.openstudioscornwall.co.uk

Sara was due to take part in Open Studios Cornwall in May 2020, but this has been cancelled for the time being for obvious reasons, so here is an online exhibition of some of the artwork you would have seen during the Open Studios Cornwall event.

We do hope later in the year to have the open studios as normal and look forward to seeing everybody in the near future. For now please enjoy the “Virtual  Exhibition” we have created on the site.

Sara was due to take part in Open Studios Cornwall in May 2020, but this has been cancelled for the time being for obvious reasons. However that doesn’t stop us viewing some great artwork online until the real Open Studios event can take place.

What we've done is put together an online virtual exhibition of some of the work that would have been showing at Sara's Open Studios. This artwork includes oil, mixed media paintings, black and white paintings, monotype prints, artist's books and art cards. The exhibition will start on Saturday 23rd May. This virtual exhibition will be available only on the artist, Sara Bevan's official website from the Saturday 23rd May and run until Sunday 31st May. Bookmark the date and grab a glass of something, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

The Gurnard’s Head – Artist of the Month

Gunard's Head - Artist of the Month

Each month, throughout the year The Gurnard's Head highlight the work of a notable local artist in the snug. Sara as "Artist of the Month" for May was due to showcase her artwork in there in May. But due to Covid-19, the lock-down and temporary closure of The Gurnard's Head this has had to be been cancelled.

I am however, putting together a "Virtual Exhibition" so you are still able to see the work that would have been on show at the Gurnard's Head. The virtual exhibition will be available on the artist, Sara Bevan's official website from the 30th April 2020, bookmark the day & grab a glass of something, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

‘All the pictures are landscapes and inspired by the rugged north coast of West Penwith. Old hedges and field boundaries feature heavily as do dark skies and windswept moorland. I am draw to the drama of the wind and weather and its effects on this beautiful part of the world.’

Lands End Guild of Artists

Lands End Guild of Artists
Lands End Guild of Artists

A small group of professional artists and makers living and working in the far West of Cornwall beyond Penzance on the Lands End Peninsula.

Established early in 2011, we are a group of professional artists and makers who have chosen to set up home and pursue creative careers in the wild and windswept western tip of Cornwall. It is an exciting place to live. Most people who live here have a strong connection to both land and sea....it provides our livelihood and our inspiration.
